Osvaldo Borsani (1911-1985) was an Italian designer, architect and entrepreneur, founder with his brother of the Tecno company. His hallmark was to combines the investigation of the quality of materials with a passion for technology and an interest in avant-garde artistic experience which materialized in close cooperation with artists such as Fausto Melotti, Arnaldo e Giò Pomodoro, Lucio Fontana. It was Fontana which made the bronze casting for this important piece of furniture, with a refined molded surface and an unusual opening of the folding doors.
